Our membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March and for the paltry fee you get all the benefits below and more.

Newcomers joining after 31st August get a free period up to 31st March.

You can train on the road with other club members twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

Our club hires the SK Stadium for sole use on a Wednesday so you can use the track facilities for training at a greatly reduced price.

Your membership fee also includes a levy to England Athletics - our governing body. This is your competition license fee which entitles you to compete in any athletics discipline in the UK. It can be a Road Race, a Track and Field event or a Cross Country race. You also get a discount on entering road races (currently £2). You should receive you membership card * within a few months of joining the club.

As a road runner you will normally be responsible for entering races yourself. However as a club member, should you wish, you may also want to have a go at a T&F event. We enter the Lincs league which is a good starting point if your have never competed on the track. We also enter the Northern league which is of a higher standard. Details of the relevant captain can be found on the club's main website or contact the club secretary. You may also fancy having a go at X/C - again we enter the Lincs league and there is also the Lincs, Northern and National championships.

You are covered by 'Third Party' liability insurance cover when you are training or competing in any club organised event.

Team competition: As a road runner, when you enter road races you probably won't be aware of other club members who may have entered the same event. There is a good chance that there may be enough of us to form a team and maybe lucky enough to go on and win a team prize. It is therefore important for you to know that a team can be disqualified if one of the team members isn't wearing a club vest. It is also a strict requirement if you are entering a T&F or X/C event. For details on how to purchase a club vest and other kit visit the Kit Shop page

* England Athletics membership cards are normally sent out in bulk from April onwards - so new members will need to wait until then for their cards. If you haven't received you card within a reasonable time contact the membership secretary. Once you have your card you can change your password and edit your details (such as address change) or even add a photo. Don't forget to redeem your £5 sweatshop voucher.
