2018 marks 13th edition  of the Newton’s Fraction Half Marathon run under UKA rules,on an accurately measured 13.1 mile route, the race is one of  the county’s most popular road races.

Organised by Grantham Athletic Club the race starts and finishes on the track inside the South Kesteven Sports Stadium,Trent Road Grantham.

The race heads out of Grantham into the Lincolnshire countryside onto the Grantham to Nottingham Canal towpath for nearly 3 miles to Woolsthorpe by Belvoir, taking in a couple of testing hills along the way before returning back into the stadium for a ‘grandstand’ finish.

Plenty of onsite parking, refreshments, Lincolnshire Runner stall, bar and we are giving each half marathon finisher a technical T shirt, medal and a goody bag.

This is what you said in 2017:

As always a great race and the weather just made it hilarious!....

It was my first attempt at this race and despite the weather and those hills I still managed a PB!

Dread to think what I look like in the photos though! I would love to do it again next year, but can we have some sunshine please?!

Had a great time running this race, and will definatley be booking this next year, it was a great race and very well organised.

Hello. This was my first time running your race and I loved it. Weather made it more special!

The race conditions brought back memories of the MK marathon back in 2012- dark, cloudy and wet! But the feeling when you cross the  finish line always makes it worth the effort( skin is waterproof as my friends keep telling me!).

Thanks for putting on a great race, looking forward to next year for my third time running it!

Was a great race- even if the weather did give us it in spades! Looking forwards to 2018!!
